In one of the most dramatic finals in recent memory, Dominica United emerged victorious against defending champions Kingston FC with a final score of 3–2 in the Caribbean Premier League 2025.

The match, held at Roseau National Stadium, drew a capacity crowd and millions of viewers online. The final goal came in the 89th minute, sealing the win and sparking celebrations across the island.

“This win is for every single fan who stood by us through thick and thin,” said team captain Marcus Jean. “We gave it everything tonight, and it paid off.”

Coach Luis Fernandez praised the team’s discipline and fighting spirit, highlighting key performances by goalkeeper Tariq Edwards and striker Angelo Peters, who scored two of the team’s goals.

Local businesses and supporters have already begun planning a victory parade, expected to take place this weekend through downtown Roseau.

“They played with heart and pride,” said sports analyst Karen Lewis. “This is more than a football match — it’s a moment of unity for the entire nation.”

The championship title ends a 12-year drought for Dominica United, who last reached the final in 2013 but lost on penalties.
